I make this entirely out of stainless steel. The overlapping stainless steel scales are held together by a handmade chainmaille mesh of stainless steel rings. The chainmaille drapes flexibly and conforms to your body. It also makes sexy little rustling noises when you handle it. The piece hangs from a sturdy stainless steel curb chain (you specify the length) and fastens with a stainless steel lobster claw clasp.
