This intricate bracelet has a spiraling pattern of copper and stainless steel weaving along its length.
“JPL-5” is a member of the Jens Pind Linkage group of chainmaille weaves. This one is notorious for how difficult it is to start correctly - I know it took me many hours to figure it out. But it is very much worth it !
The bracelet is about 3/8” (8 mm) in diameter. The clasp is a sturdy 15 mm stainless steel lobster claw. I include a one inch extension chain in addition to the stated length so you have some flexibility with the sizing.
Stainless steel requires no special care and will not tarnish. The copper will darken with wear, enhancing the spiral pattern.
If you would rather keep the copper bright, a quick dip in lemon juice or vinegar will restore the new-penny shine. (Remember to rinse thoroughly!)
